So, chances are you have played a game like Torchlight II, as the game itself is very iteraitve of the tried-and-true Diablo formula. If that is the case, when why in the world would you play Torchlight II?
Simple: Torchlight II has streamlined the experience. It takes a lot of the annoying/boring things about the genre, and either eliminates it or makes it less time consuming. Inventory full? Slap it on your pet and sent it town. Out of potions or identifying scrolls? Your pet can pick them up for you while selling your stuff. The fact that your town portals go away get you down? You portals stay up indefinately and are accessable via waypoint portals. Sick of making suicidal corpse runs everytime you die? Not in this game, you can either respawn right where you were (for a lot of gold), at the beginning of the dungeon (for some gold) or at the nearest town (for free).
If you don't point-and-click, hack-and-lash loot games, Torchlight II isn't going to turn that opinion around. However, if you have liked any Diablo-like game, give Torchlight II a try.
