Not an immense, realistic game, but is very fun.

First let me say that I am somewhat of a Smash Bros fan boy. When I was a young lad, I was at my grandparents with my brothers. We had the N64 and were playing Sarge's heroes and some other games. This commercial came on, and showed guys with costumes of Super Mario, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi all beating eachother up. Immediately we went and rented the game. We laughed for hours playing it. Ever since than, I have enjoyed playing the original, then Melee, and now Brawl.

Ok, so for the review, I'm going to describe the single player mode, and the mutliplayer mode seperately.

Single player mode: After the video showing off all the characters, you have a few options on the menu. Thankfully, the buttons are very large, and don't have too many letters, so people like me can understand. There is a Classic mode, which of course, is classic. There is also a new mode, called the Sub something or other name that is too long to pronounce. But don't let the name scare you off. The mode takes you through an interesting story in which all of the characters play a role. And the cutscenes are awesome. It's sweet to see some of your favorite characters working together, or battling against eachother. I don't want to give any details away, but there are a bunch of bad dudes, who obviously are trying to "destroy the world" or whatever. After playing it, I'm actually still not exactly sure what they are doing. They have big bomb things that turn everything purple...yeah...But it looks sweet.
There is also a training mode, Allstar mode, home run contest, target test, and events.

Multiplayer Mode: WHat can I say? It's just awesome. You start off with a decent number of available characters, and it only gets better from there. THe more you play, and the more single player modes you beat, the more characters you get (until there are no more obviously haha). You end up with 35 playable characters! There are many stages to battle against your friends, with a few returning from Melee. They're all connected to a game from Nintendo, so it's cool to see some stages from the Mushroom kingdom, or Hyrule, or the Star Fox games, or Mr. Game and Watch (haha). The items are crazy, and the Smash Ball will have everybody yelling and shouting as they're trying to break it open so they can release a super powerful move on their opponents.

There are some issues with Brawl. Some of the character's final smashes are pretty lame, such as Donkey Kongs, while others' seem to be overpowered, like Lucas', or Snake's. (I hate Snake).

But it feels like the Characters are more balanced then they were in Melee. (You can't beat everybody with Fox or Falco)

All in all, I say it's an awesome game, and a worthy sequel to the other Smash Bros. I am content with it, and would not be bothered if they didn't make another. (Honestly!)

Favorite Character: Olimar. I know, I know. But I win every time as him. He is the only character that I've never lost with!
