When you start the game it might actually seem kind of promising, but the minute you start playing you'll realize they weren't very serious. You'll see goalies turn into brickwalls, goals burst into flames and skaters looking hilarious with their cartoony animations and large faces. The pros actually have their own faces, at least most of them, but somehow they all look pretty much the same. The game is actually pretty fun and easy to play, but the AI ruins the experience very easily. The goalie learns your moves pretty quickly so you have to try something different every time. This doesn't happen to your own goalie who will let the same easy goals happen to him whenever the AI decides it's time to let the computer win. Whenever you goal, the opponent will get even pretty quickly.
Despite its comic nature, there's plenty of excisting teams and hockey players to choose from. You also get the necessary game modes you'd expect from a hockey game, making this one a weird combo of being serious and being off-the-wall. The commentator gets repetitive quick, but the game does have a big list of funny sound effects to support the humor of it. The only thing the game is good for is to just skate around and punch other skaters in the face with your hockey stick and see how they fall on their asses after a nice backflip. Especially fun with other human players. Bring some friends over when you play this or you'll be bored with the game before you know it.
