There's really not much to this game. It's a simple arcade racer with fast cars. These cars don't really differ from each other very much other than visually. Some are slightly faster while others steer better. Even though the multiplayer is well executed for a racing game on N64, it's still somehow more enjoyable playing alone because it just looks a lot better like that, and for an N64 game, it's not a bad looking one but nothing spectacular either. There's also 5 opponents instead of the two you get for 2 players. The sounds are a bit hit or miss usually and the music is unbearable for me, I prefer mute. The over-sensitive steering takes some time to get used to and the pit-stop minigame isn't fun and it's actually harmful for the N64 controller's stick. As for lasting appeal, there's some bonus cars you can win, that's IF you can win. The AI is really unfair.
