Cool Idea, not much of a game

I have to admit that I've changed my driving habits because of this game.

Treasure World uses the wi-fi antenna on the DS to scan for hotspots and convert them into "stars" which then give you treasure. That treasure takes the form of costume pieces and scenery for the little sandbox game that comprises the rest of Treasure World. There's really not much more to it than that, and putting your little robot in different costumes and planting trees and flowers in your little world is of limited interest to this 37 year old reviewer.

Having said all that, there really is something gratifying about having that DS bleep away in the passenger seat as I drive at speed pas wi-fi networks wherever I'm going. It adds just enough game, just enough fun, that I enjoy taking the time to bring it along and rack up those stars. Will I still get a kick out of it a week from now? Probably not. But maybe. At least it's something different, and I laud the designers for that.
