Hard to play through

Played this game years after it came out. So I was prepared to be a bit lenient. However, this game needs more charity than that. One of the first things I noticed about the game that left me scratching my head, is that not only was there no controls tutorial. But, there was not even a way in the pause menu to see the control lay out. This was a bit frustrating at the beginning of the game (the first level is pretty intense) but also later in the game when you start flying helicopters and driving tanks. Another frustrating flaw with the game is the fact that during a lot of the levels, whenever you complete an objective the game doesn't acknowledge it. So the only way you know if you completed an objective is to pause the game and go to objectives. Which is not ideal for aa fast paced game such as this. When it came to the story, there wasn't much meat on the bone. But that's to be expected from most military shooters of the era. I did not play multiplayer. But, I assume this being a battlefield game means that there was probably a bit more focus in that area as opposed to the single player. When compared to other like shooters of the era, I find it to be lacking and feel as though I probably would have still felt the same way back in 05' when it was released.
