Star Wars just keeps getting worse.

I loved Star Wars as a kid with the original movies and I can watch them again and again now, even my friends kids can watch them and they're just timeless classics. However ever since the new movies the Star Wars franchise has gone so down hill with utter crap like hundreds of poor games and the Clone Wars series. I picked up this game for the PC wanting a Star Wars story I could immerse myself into with great force power gameplay. However it didn't deliver on anything and on top of that it's a pretty unplayable console port to the PC.

Theres no graphical setting options and the sound seems really buggy making weird glitchy sounds a lot of the time. The only thing you can change is the resolution and there isn't even an option to go into windowed mode. I always play my games in windowed mode but there was no option for it and I couldn't even force it on with the config. The game loves to stutter because it is so badly ported and also loves to crash at certain points of the game. With my version suddenly the game goes to a slideshow with the sound going crazy and I have to restart to fix the problem.  The graphics aren't any better than the console because theres no graphical options put in so theres the PC advantage gone.

The story is pretty bare bones and it isn't that great Star Wars experience I wanted and it makes no sense to the Star Wars lore. The voice acting is passable but there isn't anything memorable and the shame is everything is done in cutscenes. I mean I want my story done in game like how Valve does it. However instead you have to wrestle with the horrible controls and combat of the game which feel really clunky. It's so hard to work out what you can jump on and where to go at times and frigging it just feels like they put animation in front of control. using your force powers is very annoying to use on the enemy aswel and using the force lift stuff is very annoying. I also hate how you have to keep going into the menus to upgrade you character and the loading transitions take so long.

The worst thing about the game has to be the quick time events against boss characters which for some reason move so fast they don't give you enough time to press the button. I mean I have to turn Fraps on to slow my frame rate down so I have enough time. Theres no skill involved it's just trial and error and if you make a mistake you have to go right back to the start and do it all over again. I don't get why quick time events are in the game they aren't fun.

All in all probably the worst game I've played all year and I really don't understand why Lucas Arts bothered to port a crap game and make it even worse by not doing a proper port job on the PC.
