Great co-op game.

Nice puzzles and satisfying combat, with very well-balanced enemies. I enjoyed the upgrades and the weapon and costume unlocks, and felt compelled to work towards them by scouring each level for all the goodies, so the game was very effective at keeping me engaged. Very enjoyable to play co-op, except for the argument over who gets to play Lara and who gets stuck being the Aztec guy.

Aiming with the explosive weapons could have been a lot better. There's a reticle if you use mouse and keyboard, but not if you use analog sticks on a gamepad, even though you really need one to aim accurately. It's very hard to tell what you're shooting at sometimes, and if you're wielding a rocket launcher that takes a quarter of your ammo away with every shot, it's kind of important... The game drags a bit in the middle, and the open sections in-between the linear levels just aren't as enjoyable. The Toxic Swamp level with the exploding spores was the low point of the game in my opinion, as it just wasn't very fun. Characters run a little slower than I would like, so it annoys me there is no sprint ability. I'm impatient, and when a game doesn't let me sprint, I always find a way to go faster anyway. In this case, my method of going faster is to roll around everywhere. It looks silly, so come on, just give me a damn sprint button. The story is weak and cheesy.

Overall though, there's some very good fun to be had with this game, especially with local co-op.
