Enjoyable, except 2/3 of it

Sonic adventure 2 is acclaimed as the best 3D Sonic game period to fans (due to nostalgia), So I purchased the game on the PlayStation Store along with the Battle mode and to experience "the best Sonic game ever". After I finished it I did enjoy some parts of it but didn't find much fun compared to Sonic adventure 1 because that game just had more to offer for me.

The Sonic and Shadow levels are the best part of the game for me, they have very good controls, fast pace levels, and iconic memorable moments.

The Knuckles and Rouge levels are the emerald hunting levels from adventure 1 only downgraded and frustrating, the radar at the bottom of the screen has now been designed for the player to find one emerald piece at a time, in adventure 1 your radar lets you know when your right next to any of the 3 emerald pieces. The levels are massive and not in a good way, and sometimes not designed well for the player. There is a level where you have to suffer through stupid Mario Galaxy gravity controls and a level where you have to find 3 chaos emeralds in 5 minutes, most of the levels usually take me over 10 minutes to find all the emeralds and when making the player find all 3 emeralds in 5 minutes is too much pressure for me and can be frustrating when your trying to find that last emerald. Controls are good but not enough for me to enjoy these levels.

The Tails and Dr. Eggman levels are thankfully better than the treasure hunting but are just eh in my taste. Tails and Eggman are in Mechs shooting and spreading explosions everywhere they go. The controls feel like a loose tank when you make them walk and turn, and shooting is all your doing here, you could just move forward, keep pressing the shoot button and the level is done. The levels aren't bad they aren't as frustrating as the treasure hunting but their just boring and weird to be here.

So Sonic adventure 2 is a good game even when you have the battle mode of it where you can play with friends with multiple characters and stages, But I don't find it as assessable as Sonic adventure 1, Sonic and Shadow stages are great, Treasure hunting is ugh and Mechs are boring but okay for the most part. I can understand why people love this game so much, but not really, I like it, it's just something I can't easily grasp since theirs only 10 levels I can enjoy (also the Chao garden returns but I don't really care tbh).
