Another Classic Collection? Another Remake? Let's say it is a package containing two games. But is it a remake? Kind of.
In both games the changes are straight forward: Partially better textures and higher resolution. And 3D optionally (i couldn't test it out yet, but who can?) Nevermind. Sound & gameplay are the same as in the original.
So, is there really the need for this "collection". Hell yes!
Both games are totally awesome.
Ico is a strange puzzle-action game with a dark story. It is unique in its style even after nearly 10 years.
And Shadow of the Colossus? Not only is it a fantastic game with atmosphere dropping out of every virtual corner, it is a milestone gameplay wise. It is an open world game containing "just" "bosses". A wet dream for every old-school gamer who played Mega Man or Castlevania for the boss battles and at least a dream for everyone who likes good balanced games.
I think everyone should take at least a peek into these two games. Even if he or she isn't going to play through them, those masterpieces changed video game culture and are worth it in my honest opinion.
