Like every other review, this is my thought about the game
This game is like a movie, that have you controlling the main character.
This is the only game that have had me sitting on the edge of the chair, and enjoying every single minute of it. The game's story is absolutely amazing. Well executed by the actors, and the game it self. The story is supposed to be as linear as it is. and it is actually one of the few games that should be like this, only because of the story, which is hot fudging good.
The game play is also incredible. Car's feels like car's, so much detail went into the driving, that even the tires are made to bend to friction, i mean how many games does that?. Gun play is epic, people aren't bullet sponges, they only take 1-3 shots, then they are dead. And so do you. Also the environment takes damage. especially if you have PhysX on. I will say though, that if you are a person who plays 3rd person shooters on a regular basis, start the game on hard. And though the Melee combat is downgraded to only 1 person at a time. It is still massively satisfying, i swear i had a erection the first time i got to use some of the awesome finishing moves.
Vito and his friend Joe are some of the coolest characters i have seen in a game for quite awhile. They act humane, they are not some tough soldier's. They are humans in a mafia, doing their ''business'', and trying to make a living in the town they call home.
The only reason that I'm not giving this game 5 stars, is that it is as said, a movie. it almost requires you to sit down and spend an entire day on it, just for the sake of the story. This might not be possible for some people, who only have time to play a few hours a day, an likes to spend some time on roaming around. You really don't want to miss out on the story in this game. It's Fun, action packed, engaging, and overall a movie put into a game, just so that you can be even closer to everything that happens in it.
If you like an great story, with great characters, and a great gameplay that suits the story, this is the game for you. Just be sure you have the time too sit down and enjoy it.
