Maybe I'm not the right guy for this . . .

. . . but I feel like I'm missing out on part of the Chinatown Wars experience.  The game has been great so far.  I have really enjoyed the mechanics, art style, and mission types.   What I have been missing is the story.  I'm confident it is there.  After all, the text on all those screens has to say something, right?

The problem is the way that I play games on the DS.  I play these games on the bus going to work, or in bed before going to sleep.  In both of these cases I don't really have the time/interest to read all of the (presumably well written) dialogue before playing the game.  My bus ride is short (~20 minutes), and while they do a great job of keeping the missions relatively short, if I read all of the story I don't have time to finish the mission.  If I'm lucky enough to go on a plane ride then I can read the story, but for my day to day life it doesn't quite fit.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the game . . . when I can fit it in.  Chinatown wars provides a different type of gameplay than I get from most of the DS games I play (which is why I want to get straight to the action).  I just can't help thinking that I am no the right guy for this game.
