I really cant believe this game has gotten so much praise as being a great classic, because its not. Ive been playing this game for a while now, and just got so bored with doing the same sort of thing over and over again. The graphics are pretty flat, but understandable given the time this game was released.
I really was expecting less bugs, and more of an emphasis on the story. The story was pretty uninteresting and simplistic, leaving not much to be desired. Yes, there are 3 playable factions in single player, but after doing the marine, I thought the experience started to go downhill, with more confusing backtracking and combat. I didnt even feel the need to continue on to the alien, I am completely bored and uninterested with this game at this point, and may get the recent iteration sometime soon to see how it stacks up.
