Restaurant Empire 2 is for the most part the same as its predecessor. It has the same music in the title menu, and most of the same sounds in-game. There are many graphical improvements though. The whole layout looks smoother and cleaner, and is given a good boost in quality. There are many new skins and models in the game that add some variety compared to the previous entry in the series. The gameplay hasn't changed that much either, but there are some differences that make it better the RE 1. There are 3 new restaurant styles; German, Dessert, and Coffee House. The Coffee House restaurant brings in a new feature, coffee counters. It's basically a bar for all your coffee needs that your chefs need to go to during their normal cooking duties. You can also add performers to your restaurants to add some entertainment value to your bustling business. Some restaurants let you book a whole band, while others only let you hire one-man acts. New themes are added as well, racing being one of the more interesting ones. Possibly the biggest attraction of the game is its new story campaign. It involves Armand and his newlywed wife Delia in a struggle to open up new restaurants to replace the big corporations hustling into the world. It also includes an updated version of the original campaign that is enjoyable to go back to. Overall, Restaurant Empire 2 is better than the previous RE game, adds some new features (mainly a new story mode), and will give you hours of enjoyment as you try to get the sought after 5 star restaurant.
