Metal Slug Anthology has all of the Metal Slug games. Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug 4, Metal Slug 5, Metal Slug 6. I started off down the line betting the first then on and on. Metal Slug really impressed the hell out of me. Great action with very little framerate issues. As I got to my nostalgic Metal Slug 2. It was great. Action was fantastic and the visuals were very good. But I couldn't get over the terrible framerate. I don't know if it was just the PSP version but it was terrible. Metal Slug X is pretty much a new version of 2, but with a way better framerate, new enemies and new weapons.
Graphics to me are one of the best on the system. Explosions pop off the screen and look fantastic. For the most part

Sound is good, not great. The explosions and shooting some good. But the talking and screaming sound muffled and bad. Though it's the PSP so the sound can't always be perfect.
Controls work well. PSP usually have trouble with only the one analog stick. Though you can use either the D-pad or stick to move your character. Square fires and O throws bombs, and X jumps. This all works very well. If it didn't this game would be screwed. I didn't care for the vehicle parts due to some bad controls. The bad controls were in the shooting parts. You had to move forward to shoot forward. I didn't care for that to much. Other then that though, the controls are great.
This is a great game for the PSP or any of the other systems. If you never played any of the Metal Slug games before, pick this up. If you have and are a tad nostalgic for the series, pick this one up.
