"Batman: Arkham Asylum" (2009, Rocksteady Studios) - Surprisingly engaging from start to finish. The titular asylum feels painstakingly crafted and is a pleasure to explore. Although the breadth of combat scenarios impress, large-scale brawls often boil down to button mashing. Combined with a few uninspired bos s fights and one too many Scarecrow encounters, Arkham Asylum falls just short of greatness.
