If you are a Beatles fan in any sort of way this is by far a must buy game. I loved Rock Band 1 and 2. Personally I though Rock Band is leagues beyond Guitar Hero. After playing Rock Band 2 I kind of gave up on the whole music game genre. I felt they were fun but got old fast. The Beatles had always been my favorite band in history. and when Guitar Hero came out with Aerosmith I thought that it was a cool idea for them to center on one band. I work at Blockbuster so we pushed both Guitar Hero and Rock Band, but I said then if they ever came out with a Beatles themed band game I would buy it a heart beat. Anyways when I heard about it I couldn't believe it I pre-ordered it at work about 8 months ago the full Limited Edition band bundle. I don't regret buying this one bit.
At first I was afraid the game would have been a cop out just the game developer trying to make a quick buck, but not at all Harmonix & EA (MTV, SONY, and Apple) worked there ass off this game is stunning in every way. Sure its a little easier and your old DLC doesn't work with this game, but this isn't the point at all. This is a tribute a masterful tribute to arguably the greatest band of all time.
From the moment you put the game in you console and the opening cinematic starts you know this is such a unique, creative, and incredible experience. The game has such a cool design to the menus, its really easy to navigate. The game modes are similar to RockBand 2 with a little differences. Seeing the set list from the get go except for one song is sorta cool. Shows a picture of the album cover and a little info on each song. T story mode allows you to truly become the Beatles. By scoring points you unlock artwork, pictures and videos. During the load screens you can hear Paul, John, George and Ringo talking in between recordings and what not. Really cool design the dreamscapes as I am sure you have heard before are impressive, trippy, and weird, but cool.
In final sorry I rambled but its an amazing it will be hard to top this game, and to me no matter what they put out next only goes down hill from the Beatles. Come on DLC it will be great
