Infamous is the next gen game form SuckerPunch (the guys behind the Sly Cooper series).Being a PS3 exclusive this game has had much hype but does it deliver?

Infamous' story feels just like the origins story for a comic book character. The cutscences are even in done like a graphic novel. You play as Cole, an average bike messenger. One day you are delivering a package and it explodes in your hand destroying much of Empire City and giving you electric super powers. The city is then quarantined as a virus begins and three gangs have taken over the city. The story is well told and has twist and turns you will not see coming. In the end, Infamous story is engaging and satisfies you at the end.

The graphics in Infamous are good for an open world game. The only issue is pop up but that isnt really  huge issue for me. . All of Cole's animations are top notch and the powers look great. As I sai d Infamous is an open world game with story and side missions. The side missions are pretty fun and award you with XP. The missions vary as you will defend vehicles, escort prisoners, clear areas of enemies, and there are a lot more.

As it has become a trend with recent game, Infamous has moral choices. They do not really change anything except your appearance, side quest available, and different powers you can buy and upgrade. The choices are very black and white and affect which ending you will get. The gameplay itself feels like a third person shooter. You have a electric rockets, grenades, and a sniper mode. The core gameplay is  fun and great and is near perfect. There is also a big platformig section to the gameplay. It feels like Assassins Creed but quicker. In all Infamous has great gameplay.

Infamous is truly a great game. An engaging story, fun platforming, and great gameplay. There is also a ton of replay value with trophies, a huge number of collectibles ,and the morality system. If you own a PS3 GET THIS GAME. I hope to see more fun Cole in the future so SuckerPunch start working on inFAMOUS 2!
