Grand Theft Auto 4 takes us through the trials and tribulations of a man that goes by the name of Nico Bellic as he fights his way through the creative and crazy streets of Liberty city. This game was well designed (by none other than Rockstar) and basically perfect aside from a few glitches and frequent loading times. This review will be broken down into 4 parts: sound, presentation, gameplay, and, online play.
Sound
Throughout the series' history, GTA has always had a jampacked arsenal of songs. From station to station, almost everything you hear is actually good, even th commercials. Despite the factnthat the game doesn't have baskdrop music, the game still delivers. Example, I'm driving in my banshee listening to one of Ne-yo's songs while being lulled by the rev of my engin as I push 70mph. Meanwhile, there's the common commotion of the city not paying me mind as I fly by it. sometimes I forgot it was a game. So all over, good sounding guns, good sounding music, good sounding everything.Presentation
This game does not set any new boundaries as far as presentation, but it doesn't look bad. Anyone aho thinks it look bad needs to climb to the highes building in the game and just take in the beauty. I mean it does lok gritty but there's nothing that you won't be upset about. The face animationa are good. The cars are incredibly detailed, and their damage factor adds not only more graphical praise, but also adds realism. All in all, goods cars, good city, good animations; what's not to like?Gameplay
If you played any of the GTA games, you know theres nothing that I have to say. Ever since the first game of the series, GTA has had our attention for being one of the best sand-box games made. From 2 - dimensional car jacking action game.To a 3-D sand-box with RPG elements. Installment after installment GTA moved nowhere but forward. Nicco Bellic can shop at stores, browse the internet, watch T.V. in his condo, call people, and even go out for a quick swim at the beach. There's almost nothing you cant do.
