I own every call of duty so naturally i got this game for christmas and its great but lets just say if you don't like world war 2 you won't like this and also the game play is near identical to cod4.

First off the singleplayer is longer and more bloody than cod4, alot more bloody. The multiplayer is more or less the same with more perks, a larger variety of weapons, tanks and new modes that are probably the stand out features. Whoever said the graphics are worse than cod4 has their head on backwards. They are far superior with brilliant water effects (like the rain droplets that glisten on your sniper rifle) and explosive speical effects, there are some large open levels from lush jungle to the gritty destroyed cities on the Eastern front.

The only problem that i disliked, no wait thats the wrong word, i depised was the gaphic nature. Now no one can imagine what it is like to be in the heart of a battle in ww2 but the gore and blood really put me off. You have sniper rifles and machine guns which decapitate your enemies while you squadmates head explodes from being shot while another member is running around incenrating japs with a flame thrower. We all know war is bloody but treyarch really went OTT on this one. Its only a game but i found it highly engrossing.

No doubt i enjoyed playing this game but the graphic violence (at times) made me sick to my stomach. If you like blowing germans into chunks with a double barrelled shotgun by all means be my guest. let just say like many i prefer Cod4.
