Yes I do admit, Army Of Two was not the greatest game in the world, but jeez, whats with all the hate? I thought this game (aside from a few bugs) was very well put out, and one of the most fun experiences I've ever had on my PS3...even on single player.
Graphics: Great graphics! It's even better when you have a "VIBRANT" setting on your tv. Salem and Rios look awesome in whatever you have put them in.
Sound: Great voice acting from our two soldiers! They do apparently know air guitar (tap x by rios/salem and sometimes they'll play air guitar with their guns) and have good ways of easing up on the field.
Gameplay: Lets get down to it. One of the aspects I completely hate in this game. It would completely cripple the game without it though, its a little thing called AGGRO. Yes the AGGRO system is what makes the Army Of Two unique, but its so mind-bendingly stupid its not even funny. Okay, so you need cover fire, you set your partners status to aggressive, he turns red (AGGRO sign) and now you turn "invisible" to the enemys. Wait...so I could just walk by one of these idiots and not get caught? The answer is yes. Most enemys (aside from heavy troopers or bosses) will not notice you when your partner has the aggro. Yeah, its unique. Aside from that, controls work fluently, shooting mechanics work great. And the shop where you can deck all your tools of destruction and even get armor upgrades is fantastic to toy with. For 10,000 (Which is easily acquired) you can pimp each of your guns out with the "pimped" style, making them look completely badass. One thing that did bug me about the gameplay, is that when you needed assistance after taking hundreds of bullets, your partner would come over and drag you to safety, but he wouldn't realize that where HE is standing is in the front of a soldier/turret/heavy.
Multiplayer: 4vs4 is pretty fun in this game. It all comes down to what team can complete the contract given first. Slowing each other down along the way.Its all good fun.
