I think I'll Go Back to Wii Sports Resort to Swing a Sword

LIke most people who may have tried this game, I played it for one reason:  I wanted to have one-to-one motion control while chopping enemies down with a sword.  While you would think Nintendo or another third party could have delivered this experience this far into the Wii's life cycle, I really think that Wii Sports Resort may be the closest anyone gets (with the possible exception of the Playstation Move).  I thought this game is as generic as one could have never hoped for.  Lifeless characters, sparse environments, janky camera, load times a la Resident Evil 1 when you open a door - they're all here.  While it was more fun swinging a sword using motion controls in this game than Twilight Princess, at least Zelda offered some enjoyable dungeons.  This game lives or dies (mostly dies) on it's combat, which just doesn't carry the game for long.  I can't recommend this game to anyone, and will be booting up Wii Sports Resort to try my sword arm out to compensate for time lost on Red Steel 2.
