Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg is a platformer released by Sega for the Gamecube, its an odd little game, that falls short of greatness, but remains good, despite some flaws.

In Billy Hatcher, you play as Billy, a boy who was given a magical chicken suit in order to save Morning Land from the evil crows that have overtaken it, and spread darkness throughout the land. The story is pretty weird, but at the very least, it makes sense, somewhat.

The gameplay of Billy Hatcher is that of a typical platformer, as Billy you can run and jump, but because Billy himself can't attack, your able to roll eggs, using eggs, you can run, jump higher, and attack enemies. This system tends to work well, although the game has a bad tendency to bounce your egg in odd directions.

The Graphics for the game are very colorful, and ascetically pleasing, and the sound design is decent, its full of random chicken noises, and its upbeat to boot.

All in all, BIlly Hatcher and the Giant Egg, despite some gameplay flaws, and its over childish nature, is an enjoyable game in my opinion, and its worth checking out if your interested, im going to give Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, a 7.5/10.
