I as of writing this review have not played Resident Evil 2, i have however played the original Resident Evil.
The Original Resident Evil ranks as my 10th Favorite game of all time so i was looking forward to this game.
So First of all Resident Evil 3 is NOT a very player friendly game, There is no Tutorial and the game has a terrible control scheme on the PC.
Anyway in Resident Evil 3 you play as Jill Valentine one of the heroes from the original game and the game follows her escape from Raccoon City, which is filled to the brim with zombies.
The game plays like Resident Evil 1 with some new puzzles and Mutated creatures to give Resi Veterans a challenge, the game is about 12-15 hours long on the normal difficulty.
The Titular Nemesis is a new umbrella Bio-Weapon sent to neutralize all the S.T.A.R.S. members he acts as a recurring boss and unlike any other foe in Resident evil he can follow you through rooms as soon as your camera moves away from the door, some of these boss fights are avoidable but bonus's are awarded for fighting nemesis in these encounters.
The game sees Jill teaming up with The Umbrella Search and Rescue team to escape Raccoon city, and she will experience a variety of scenarios with multiple outcomes for each event allows for a good deal of replayability.
The game adds 180 Degrees turns, context sensetive objects such as oil drums and a new ammo system in which you must mix gun powder to create ammo.
All in all i find the Original Resident Evil to be superior but Resident Evil 3 is worthy of being played to fight one of your greatest Nemeses in all of gaming.
