Trine is a 2D indie game from game developer FrozenByte and oozes prettyness from every part of this game, especially the levels...and the Character design....and the narrator...and the Aw hell the whole game is pretty!

The Story in Trine has a wizard's, knight's and thief's souls become merged when they touch a mysterious object they later discover to be the Trine. This event causes them to be merged into one being and leads to some of the best modern platforming of this generation.
The Characters in Trine are almost satire on the usual fantasy archetypes, from the Knight who likes drinking and killing the undead to the Wizard who is a lady's man who can't master the fireball spell.

The level design in Trine is Stellar with Levels being fun and able to be completed by any of the three characters individually, but as the player is able to Switch Between the characters at will they will sometimes combine the different abilities to work their way through the level.

The Sound and Graphics for this game are Pheonominal despite the game being an Indie Title, the game has a very Pretty Fairytale feel to it and this feel is strengthened by the games brilliant music score and Spellbinding Narrator.
Trine also features some RPG elements such as Items, Leveling Up and a basic skill tree system.
Trine is not perfect however and is dragged down from greatness by Character Imbalance and Physics Glitches.

There are some elements that link Braid and Trine together, they are both 2D indie platformers with beautiful graphics and sound elements as well as clever level design and puzzles, but overall Trine is unique and fun enough to be played by any gamer.
