Call of Duty has always been a 4 or 5 star franchise well except for the ones Developed by Treyarch then they are 2, 3 and maybe 4 star games. Call of Duty 5 falls inbetween 2 star games like Call of Duty 2:Big Red One and 4 star like Call of Duty 3.
Story: The Story is basic you control a soilder who kill things in WWII battles then control a different soilder from another place who also kills things. Then someone dies (most likely the Sgt.) and then the game ends. We've all seen it before! Anyway, the soilders you control are Pvt. Miller (like the beer?) with the marines in the pacific, and Pvt. Petrenko or something like that I dunno they call you Dimitri who's with the Soviet Union on their march to Berlin. All the characters are bland and talk... blandly and it's pretty hard to feel sorry for someone if they die. This game also has a predictible story but i'm not going to go to deep into it.
Gameplay: CoD 5 is a "run n gun" game which means run shoot stuff continue running. Very Simple. The key to doing good in CoD is to Aim down sights. Which means to look down the aimer of your gun. If you plan on only firing from the hip you ain't gonna get that far. Another key is cover. With the health system (getting hit brings you into the red not getting hit regenerates health) you're going to be contantly hiding behind barrels and crates (evil evil crates) to get health back. Also you want to go behind cover for... cover. I'm suprised neither dveloper has thought of putting in a cover system yet.
Graphics: CoD 5 is pretty to look at and the lighting is pretty good to but there are a few minor visual quirks (hell, what game doesn't havem?) Sometimes the graphics are a little to dark but thats nothin. Another cool thing is that if it's raining you'll see the shine in your teamates uniforms. Now thats cool to look at.
Sound/Music: There isn't that much music in the game and even if there was i wouldn't have noticed it, but the sound is amazing. The gunfire sounds are amazing you hear a little crunch when walking through leaves or sand which is also pretty cool.
Multiplayer: The Multiplayer is the same as CoD 4's; you create classes with whatever gun you want unlock more guns as you move along in the ranks and add special perks to your weapons so you can pwn your opponents even more. But now there are tanks, Dogs (replacing heli for 7 kill streaks) Artillery (replacing airstrikes) and thats it. there are a couple new perks but nothing mind blowing. Now the multiplayer is LOADED WITH GLITCHES. I swear these glitches drove me right back to cod4 people going under the map, inside of rocks its's MAD ANNOYING. A really cool multiplayer feature is Nazi Zombies. You fight off against a never ending wave of zombies and try to survive as long as you can. Nazi Zombies now, has one or two glitches and these benefit you and your teammates. You can also do Co-Op campaign with up to 4 people Which speaks for itself.
CoD 5 isnt nearly as good as CoD 4 but is still a Decent Shooter.
