Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shogun Magginesu is a light-hearted action-adventure platformer game by the awesome guys at Konami.
This game brings Goemon straight into platformer territory and jolts you with more action and robot impact battles!
The game feature Co-Op mode similar to the previous one and now has 3 characters instead of 2.
Sasuke is the new character, joining the previous cast Goemon and Ebisumaru.
## Gameplay ##
All 3 characters have different attacks and weapons and some are better then others at certain things.
Goemon 2 is a little different from the previous game.
Take Super Mario World and fuse it with the action part of the previous game then you have your self Goemon 2.
When it comes to Boss battles we have the old style Boss fights and some new epic MODE 7 Robot Impact Battles!
Instead of automatically moving from town to town like in the previous game, you now have world map similar to Super Mario World.
You have a choice if you want to visit the towns or just go out and battle.
Towns folks are now all friendly and will not attack you. You can attack them tho but they do not drop anything.
The mini games does a return as well. albeit a little different.
The memory game is a sort of like a race as both you and the npc tries to find 2 of a kind at the same time.
The dice game is the same. (this is a very nice way to earn money)
There are some other mini games, but I wont say more.
## Graphics ##
This game features bigger sprites and pixels blend more and are little less pix-elated then the previous game.
There is also some more animated backdrops and weather effects.
Basicly the graphics flows better sort of speak.
## Controls ##
What can i say? They work as they should, no lag or delay.
Perfect!
## Story ##
The story is a step up from the last game.
Goemon and Ebisumaru is on vacation at the Ryūkyū Resort when Sasuke appears and tells them some crazy Western General is threatening Japan. Along side him he has an army of bunny men who tries to westernize Japan. Goemon, Ebisumaru and Sasuke head to bunny castle to stop General Magginesu.
## Replay Value ##
There might be some replay value here,. but I don't see it. (note: this is not a bad thing, this is not really a game you beat many times)
## Conclusion ##
All in all, it's an amazing game!
You can play it without knowing any Japanese.
If you can import it, do it!
BTW: There is a secret stage, try find it!
