Ganbare Goemon (がんばれゴエモン?, lit. “Go for it, Goemon!”), known as Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Mystical Ninja, and Goemon in North America and the PAL region, is a long-running video game series produced by Konami.
Ganbare Goemon: Yukihime Kyuushutsu Emaki is a light-hearted action-adventure game by the awesome guys at Konami.
The game feature Co-Op! A 2nd controller can be used to control Ebisumaru.
## Gameplay ##
Both characters have different attacks and weapons but function similar.
You can learn judo abilities from Dojos in the game, there are up to 4 abilities you can learn.
Every Zone has a platform stage where you fight minor mobs and what not.
There is a total of 9 Zones in the game.
If you die you can continue at the beginning of a Zone, but you lose all your money and armor.
Armor helps you protect yourself, and you can take more hits. You can also get a bigger hp bar.
The levels are pretty well balanced but some are easier than others.
Bosses are easy once you find their weakness, but you’ll be going through some trial and error on some of them.
I've had some “face desk” moments because I kept doing it wrong several times. *rolleyes*
## Graphics ##
You will notice changes in the environment from place to place . Some have bigger changes than others.
There are lots of different sprite models used in this game for NPC’s and monsters but in the shops they are re-used in every town (but that’s Okey).
The 16bit pixel graphics is well done and lots of nice animations.
## Controls ##
What can I say? They work as they should, no lag or delay.

## Story ##
The story is minimal except for revealing future stages. The player controls Goemon and/or Ebisumary, after some strange things happened in their hometown, they decide to investigate.
Princess Yuki gets kidnapped by Otafu’s army, and you have to travel through japan to gather clues to find the location of the army and to save the princess.
## Replay Value ##
There might be some replay value here,. but I don’t see it. (note: this is not a bad thing, this is not really a game you beat many times)
## Conclusion ##
All in all, it’s an amazing game that I think is underrated.
You can play it without knowing any Japanese.
If you can import it, do it!
