Quantum of Solace Review

Quantum of solace (the game) did have some hype to it since it was going to have the call of duty 4 engine in it, and being made by Treyarch. but in the end its a good game but not as good as golden eye or everything or nothing. The game golden eye is known as one of the best games of all time and everything or nothing was a big change since it was a 3rd person shooter rather than a first person shooter like nightfire. Quantum of solace is a mix of first person and third person shooting. you can charge into a place aiming down the iron sights like COD but that wont get you very far most of the time. so you going to have to get used to the cover system, the cover system works well and does help the game not  feel like a COD except it says 007.

The games grahics are good but there are some ugly spots here and there, on some of the levels when you look outside everything from a far distince looks like a painting connected to a 3D level and looks pretty bad. James bond himself looks really good, but it isnt something the makes the game better, its kind of something you notice but you dont really care that much about either.

in terms of value there is some fun to be had with quantom of solace, the single player is short, scripted and pretty easy even tho you can die even faster then you can in call of duty. its also weird that for a game called Quantum of Solace, there arnt really that many scenes from Quantom of solace.once you get to the canyon part the game is a big flash back to casino royale. There really is that sence that they made the game when casino royale came out but then waited for the next one added a few levels and called it a day. The games multi-player tho is fun and will keep you coming back, even tho the multi player is pretty much call of duty but instead of leveling up you get money to spend on new perks and weapons. The semi auto shotgun is pretty over powerd in the multi player tho and can be frustrating when you run into someone who uses it for the whole game.

in the end Quantum of Solace is a good game but is not really worth the 60 dollers, it is fun and there are some really fun parts but theres just not enough of them, if your a fan of first person shooters it is worth checking out and if your looking for a good movie licensed game then theres no problem with going for Quantom of Solace.

P.S in the PC version of the game even tho its a games for windows game it doesnt support the 360 controller.
