Interesting, but not good enough

This is a different take on the first person shooter, where control of your AI team should be more important than your own sharpshooting abilities. Sadly your own team don't have quite enough sense and the enemy still end up standing still and waiting for you to creep up on them. When you enter buildings your teammates wait outside for some reason, and the game some become a single player FPS for a while. The story is incomprehensible if you don't know the series and frankly the cut-scenes don't engage one. Particularly as the characters are not easy distinguished from one another. It's therefore annoying that the cut-scenes cannot be skipped.

The controls are strange. Mosts FPSs are must of a muchness and it is possible to switch between them fairly easily. But in this game I found myself ordering my team into danger when I meant to zoom my weapon.

The trouble with modern games is that the great graphics mean that poor AI grates more than on older games. Still it's a fairly entertaining game for a while, worth picking up for a lower price or borrowing, but overall rather disappointing.
