Its almost unreal to think that this is the same studio who has spent years making the Killzone franchise but Horizon Zero Dawn couldn't be further from Killzone. I'd be remiss if I didn't say Guerilla knew how to make a beautiful game but Horizon Zero Dawn reinvents that wheel for them. One of the first things that really got me as far as from a technical graphics standpoint is when you see the way the grass blows in the wind but will shift directions as a large robot walks by. The textures of peoples clothing, face, accessories, weapons all have been so carefully sculpted and obsessed over its just utterly amazing what this came conveys in imagery.

This game isn't just pretty graphics though, it also features robust gameplay in a few different forms. I was initially worried it would be a Monster Hunter clone and while it does share mechanics with that franchise it distinguishes itself with a really deep and involved story. The crafting system is amazing and it never felt overwhelming to gather resources that you need to survive.

I am so beyond excited to see where this franchise will go Guerilla has crafted one heck of a universe and world here with Horizon Zero Dawn. This is most certainly a franchise with a great start to it.
