After the success of Grand Theft Auto, there's varying of success to recapture that kind of magic with the Nintendo substitute for Legend of Zelda series. There's nothing wrong with the game per se but you really need to overlook the graphics to apperciate the game.
This is the first kind in which the GTA plays into the game. The story is well cohesive that it fits the requirements of the game with the exception that Al Pacino has gone to Scarface: The World is Yours and a new guy which you create will help drive the story forward. You might find some of the missions switched around instead of following the way the story is told. It may be trouble From Russia With Love which they screwed up the story but rest assured it's at least fun. The Wii version makes great use of the controls and it works perfectly. However, the aiming can be tricky unless you have a steady hand. There's also some gestures you need to exaggerate to make it work.
The graphics isn't as great as the PS2, Xbox and PC. There are as a point below par with the Xbox360 and PS3. Even with progressive scanning, it might be quite underwhelming but it still has the similarities to From Russia With Love with its light detail because the movie is set in the 1960's. This game may be set during the 1940's but at least looked nicely sharp and colourful to say the least.
The sound is reminiscent of the movie with its famous soundtrack that flows with it. The sound effects is very fresh with a lot of gun shooting and punching and even using a garrote. The voices is mixed with the exception with the talents from the movie with Don Corleone giving his best performance but since his death, a voice over saved it from second rate voice acting. The villains and others sound quite the same but it still flows nicely.
You'll enjoy the game as the value is quite exceptional with up to 10hrs or more if you add the hit contracts and favours. Even more when it comes to upgrading your gun to make it easier to destroy the whole compound. The Wii version has even more hits involving a corrupt cop which helps lengthing the games value.
Even though the graphics isn't high on quality, it makes up with great gameplay and value and gives you the chance to really use the Wii controls to greater affect thanks to the motion control design. "Never go against the family Jerry" from Kramer in Seinfeld "The Bris".
