The Metal Gear of Horror

Personally, this game isn't so much of a horror game as I expected that it should be. For those that are familiar with the Metal Gear Series, I think Siren is very much like MGS except that Siren is a horror "tactical espionage action" game. That's how I felt when playing the game. Just like MGS, weapons were acquired-on-site (AOS). The difference would be that Siren has a large casts that eventually ties together. Their actions are linked to one another. Of course, having yet beaten the game, I can't say for sure how they tie together. But I have noticed that if a person were to trigger something, it will cause something for another cast member at a later time or so. So for Siren's cast, their actions are inter-connected.

Visuals were decent. I suppose that since things were mainly dark, there isn't much to say. The color that stands out would be the blood. I got to say that the "evil creatures" are ugly and demented. When the player's characters get close, the enemies would make horrible noises. Although I have to admit that the character movements were realistic.

Recommendations: If you are a MGS fan who also likes horror games, pick this one up.
