I ended up picking this game up during Steam Summer Sales for 2.50. I also got Saints Row: The Third, but i wanted to play through number 2 first as quickly as i could, mainly for the story. I had some problems getting it to play on my PC from the get-go. After a little google search, i found that if you change to properties of the games to make it think you are running it from a Vista (SP2) OS (instead of Windows 7) that i would load. I should have know it was going to be rough from that start. But still, i played for a bit and encountered lots of odd graphic glitches like objects not lining up when people moved. Then i started getting occasional crashes when i entered a car. I played this game with an Xbox 360 controller. I saw that i could have downloaded some mods to help change the button layouts on-screen, but i never bothered to do it. once i set my controller up, i didnt have to many problems.
That being said, i still think this is an awesome game. It was still entertaining with tons of side missions/activities to complete. I told myself when i started, that i was going to run through all the story modes as quickly as i could, just to catch up with the general story line and move onto the Third. Well, i keep finding fun activities to complete, and on top of that, when you beat them, you can unlock special things through out the game. By the time i actually got around to finishing the game i already had half of the activities complete. i would highly recommend this game be played on the 360 or PS3 though. The PC port just wasn't all that good i found. I easily put 24 hours into this game before i completed the story. i probably have another 10 more just to finish the activities.
