Reviewing a game as influential and as important as Super Mario Bros. is, in many ways, pointless. This 2D platformer from Nintendo is responsible for the revival of an industry and if Shigeru Miyamoto never conceived it, gaming might have never gone mainstream and some of our favorite games would never exist. Sure, that's quite a bold statement to make, but this was the game that attracted millions of people to gaming today. This was the game that kept millions of kids from seeing the outside world in favor of the Mushroom Kingdom. This was the game that was the gold standard of gaming for several years and propelled Nintendo to one of the biggest companies in the world.
