The Curse of Monkey Island is the best adventure game out today, even though it's been around for the past 11 years, and it doesn't look like that fact is about to change any time soon.

This game takes place in the Monkey Island World, and is a direct continuation of the Monkey Island franchise-  and as such, features the protagonist of the previous games, Guybrush Threepwood, along with the rest of the Monkey Island gang - Eilane, Wally, LeChuck, and even Stan!

The puzzles are what you'd expect from a Monkey Island game- extremly hard and entertaining, perfect for any adventure game lover.

In terms of controls the game is pretty adventure game standard- left mouse click to move around, right mouse click to open up the inventory- nothing special.

The game features stunning artwork- Anything from the characters themselves, to the scenery, to the monkeys are detailed in a jaw-dropping level, with incredible unique look to it.

Soundtrack and voice work lives up to the standard as well- An original score that fits the Caribbean mood the game sets perfectly, and hilarious voice acting that fits the characters perfectly.

The game doesn't only live up to the Monkey Island franchise standard, but one-up's it. The comedy is the best I've personally encountered in any game, the puzzles are complex and hilarious at the same time, the character design is flawless,  and the monkeys are monkey-re then ever.
