Stealth or Action Hero?
It's completely up to you in Crytek's new game Crysis 3. You can go all Sam Fisher on cell and ceph alike or you can go Bruce Willis, causing mass devastation with your shotgun of choice. Little advice, if you try the latter, armor mode and cover is your best friend. I played through the campaign trying to be sneaky and I was having a blast. Using your predator bow, you can be a stealth assassin that Agent 47 dreams he could be. Guys standing in water just chatting? Use electrified arrows and drop them in a matter of seconds. Perhaps you've been discovered and need to get rid of a group quickly. Airburst arrows will decimate and destroy all around.
Now I know what you're saying " I don't wanna hide like a girl , I wanna be a man and fight!". Well, calm down you , I've called law enforcement, so put the gun down. So while we wait for them, I'll tell you about armor mode. Activate armor and feel like the biggest bad-ass in the world, taking grenades and rockets like champ.
Prophet is captured by Cell forces and gets rescued by Psycho. Cell planned to skin the suit off of Prophet just like they did to psycho and the rest of his team. Turns out that all the Ceph went inactive (other then the stalkers, evil little bastards) after the events of the last game. Prophet joins the resistance against Cell and destroys their power generator and release...... wait for it ...... The Alpha Ceph ! duh duh duh! After the Alpha Ceph is released all the inactive Ceph come back to life and pretty much annihilate Cell forces with little difficulty. Now Prophet must save the world from Ceph ... again.
Note: You don't run into any Ceph other than stalkers until the Alpha Ceph is released.
Cell turns the city into an apocalyptic jungle, buildings half destroyed and devastating carnage that Ceph stalkers love to hide in. Overall a fantastic campaign .
Now the multi-player , a few standard modes like deathmatch and capture the flag . However, there is one mode that is by far my favorite . Hunter is a game type that is similar to the infected game type in Halo( now called Flood ), with one player as the hunter . The hunter has permanent cloak and has the predator bow, his objective is to kill all other players . The other player(s) have to survive for 2 minutes, if they manage that they win.
Note: In all multi-player games the players have access to armor and cloak, just like the single-player campaign
