I've only played the demo (bit low on the old funds).
This is a classic 2-D puzzle platformer with a twist . The cave talks ... yea you read that right THE CAVE FREAKING TALKS!!!With Bastion style narration the Cave introduces the characters making small quips about them. Out of the seven characters available you can chose three to go on a journey solving puzzles like finding a missing fuse to turn on vending machines and then using said machines to get a hot dog to lure a gigantic rock monster . Each character has their own special ability ranging from the time travelers ability to teleport a few feet to the hillbillies ability to make a snot bubble go around his head so he can breathe underwater. Most caves in games try to kill you , but not this one oh no it wont let you die , bad for the insurance rates. Instead it turns you into dust and puts you back together a few feet away.
With smooth , precise controls this game is a blast to play and a joy to look at . Beautiful art assets in a cartoon style only enhances the atmosphere of the Cave . During your journey you'll see cave paints that will give you bits and pieces of the life of the characters you choose.
When i get the opportunity this will be a definite buy and i look forward to the adventure this game offers.
