Guns, horses, corruption and a mission to save a family to gambling in saloons, trading with shopkeepers, hunting animals for money and bounty hunting. Red Dead Redemption is the ultimate experience, and a deserving winner of the Game of the Year. While I have never played Red Dead Revolver, Red Dead Redemption proved to master it's storyline, gameplay, side missions, free play and graphics. The landscape of New Austin and Nuevo Paraiso may seem similar, but in my opinion 'you have to see it to find about it.' The main character, John, gives a brilliant account on how he regrets his former life, and the effects it has had on him up to now. Brilliant antagonists and side characters also dominate the game from infamous gang leader Dutch to corrupt US Marshal Edgar to crazy gravedigger Seth to friendly farm girl Bonnie. It's a really warming experience, and if a major event happens in the game you find you are really engaging with the plot and the characters. Whether you want to be a town drunk spending his days in saloons gambling, drinking and flirting with whores or a bounty hunting or hunter camper who can still earn dollars for handing in wanted men or animal meat. If you haven't already, find out more about it and I implore you to buy it before it's off the shelves. I don't want to sell this game, even if it gets a bit boring after you do everything with Jack that John hasn't done, this really felt like a classic to me, and I think it's Rockstar's greatest game for it's time followed closely by San Andreas. 10/10.
