Gears of war was last years ultimate game of the year for the 25th annual golden joystick awards and no wonder. It's not really like they had any competition. Well sure there was god of war and guitar hero but they didnt quite match up. GOW did'nt have any groundbreaking storyline in the game, but that's because epic games did'nt show it. There was obviously a big confusing storyline no one really understood. Kind of like Halo until they realeased the novels. Same goes for gears of war the novels will be realeased soon and I'm sure that will clear things up.  Now gears of war isn't a terrrible game in fact it's a great game, but what makes it so great? Well for some reason everyone gets a kick out of the great cover system and combine that with the actually good reload system and of course shooting things. But that's not all you can also chainsaw things which no matter how many times you do it, it never get's old. But this about everything you do in this game. Basically run around, hide behind cover. And shoot everything in your way. Sometimes you even get split up with two people which is really annoying if your playing with two people and i think you know what I'm talking about so they should fix that... Onto the multiplayer, which I think SUCKS! It's really annoying how long it takes to load, and the players hacked the menu so you can't see who you play against. Obviously gears of war is a great game and last year it well deserved to be game of the year this is my gears of war review.
