Well Animated

Shank is an arcade beat em' up fighting game that really makes a great impression at first but then fails to keep players interested half way through. First let me start with the things I really like about Shank; one, it is a fast paced beat em' up game that follows the fomula for that genre right; second, it is very well animated and stylized, so stylized to the point that it can be on par with a Robert Rodriguez or Tarantino grind house feature. Those are the good things, the bad things are the lack of variety in the game. The game follows the beat em' up formula closely which is good, but fails to bring anything new or expand the genre. The villians are repetitive and the boss fights are practically the same just skined differently. Shank is fun, for 1200 MS points or $15, you get a good 5 hour game with plently of unlockables and easy achievements. I recommend seeing Machete first, then downloading the demo first, if you want about four hours more, purchase the game. Thanks.
