Story consist of delving deeper into the beginning of Agent 47 and how he came to be a clone. While on a contract, our bald assassin gets shot and corned. This is where he remembers the previous missions he was sent on , and you play his "Greatest Hits".
Contracts allows you to take down your targets in more creative ways than ever before, and allows you even more disguises to blend into. It's more of the same great gameplay that was in Silent Assassin, but that's really not a bad thing. In this game the targets get a little more detail and all of them prove to be pretty unique as well. The first one that comes to mind for me is the Meat King, an overweight boss that lays in a bed awaiting his next meal. One way to take him is just to sneak into his room and shoot him, or you could be disguised as his waiter and deliver him his food, which you could poison and leave swiftly undetected. The freedom is improved upon in this game, although more options would have been nice.
The visuals receive an upgrade as well, and still prove to look great on all the platforms, although this iteration does not grace the Gamecube. The soundtrack is another great plus, as Jesper Kyd does it again with his great atmospheric music that perfectly sets the killing mood.
