For those who have played the previous games in the Monkey Island
franchise should expect nothing less than another great point and click
adventure game.
The graphics in The Curse of Monkey Island have been heavily lifted
from the previous games, what many of the mature gamers have been
accustomed to seeing Guybrush Threepwood's five pixeled face will
witness a whole new look in this game. Guybrush's new model is much
more fitting to his clumsy-esque character and the artwork faintly
reminds some of how the good Warner Bros cartoons used to be.
The animation in the game is fluid and never skips; almost cinamatic
like as LA utilizes DirectX. The interface is little to nothing, as you can use simple keyboard commands, or hold down a click to bring up a coin with commands on it to interact with the world. And as any would suspect from any Lucas Arts game, an amazing soundtrack always plays in the background to keep the "Mighty Pirate" feel.
And as any would expect to find in the third of the Monkey Island series, terrible jokes and immature humor. Guybrush full fills his deadly adventure against LeChuck with mildly difficult puzzles (such as utilizeing syurp, flowers, and balloons to escape sand pits and snakes) as any would expect from an adventure game, to slapstick funny Insult Sword Fighting.
Fans of the series will not be disappointed with this installment with Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate.
