Well just like most of the people that frequent this site I was jumping up and down with anticipation for this game to finally show up.
I enjoyed playing both of the previous Deus Ex games in the past, but now that I am 27 the way I approach computer games has differed. Gone are the days where I could sit in front of my TV levelling up my character oblivious as the world around me continued on.
Now a computer game has to earn my time, it has to make me want to come back and choose it over anything else and Human Revolution managed to do just that.
I was engaged from the start and always wanted to see what would happen next. The ways the story would twist and turn and see who was busy backstabbing who and for what reasons.
The graphics were pretty and the environments detailed enough for me to want to explore, stop to look out of a window and take in the scenery. My 5770 only didn't really like around the apartment area where it would start to lag slightly.
The game play was fun and although I did find the AI to not be the smartest bulbs in the box, I did find them challenging enough to stop and think before I entered the next room. The guns were fun and I really liked the way you had to hack into computers. Powering up your hacking abilities over time so you could break into the most top secret of terminals.
I wanted to keep this brief as I am sure everyone under the sun has reviewed this game already, but going back to my earlier point. As someone that is starting to get a little older and in need of a game to suck me in and make it come first, this game does it with ease. Putting it up there with Bioshock, Alan Wake and only a hand full of others.
