Single Player:

So here it is, the latest sequel of the GTA series! I really don't know where to start cuz this game is really huge but let's start with the good points. The first has been mentioned so let's proceed to the second one. Yes, I've never enjoyed killing the pitiful pedestrians in GTA as I did in this game. No matter which method you use, it's fun basically because it's realistic. You play as Niko Bellic, a war veteran riding to liberty city; the land of opportunities hoping he would have a new life with his cousin Roman. But things turned out to be the same and what he dreamed remained to be a dream. As you progress through the story, you would get to make important decisions and lives are at stake. Yup, lives are at stake. Each decision you make has a corresponding consequence. This is why the story is very enjoyable.

The developers made this game as realistic as possible, adding new mechanics such as taking cover. At first, taking cover can be a pain in the butt but it's vital if you want to survive fire fights. And the cellphone, including it in the game was simply genius. There are many things you can do with your cellphone, you can customize it, call friends/help, enter cheat code and many others I can't remember. There is also the internet, just like in real life, you can do many things in the internet. Yeah, so there are many good additions to the game but they also removed many good features that made San Andreas great. They removed many weapons that were available in SA and the one that I missed the most was the C4. There's an identical weapon for that in this game but you can only use it on cars... I guess that's the bad side of the game turning to realism but still. Some vehicles were also removed from this game, like the planes... and I was hoping I could fly one. Lastly, the one that I'm annoyed about is the cheats. Hell, correct me if I'm wrong but... no pedestrian riot? no parachute? no jet packs? WTF, that's why the replay value of this game is low. After beating the game twice and unlocking all the achievements, you'll less likely to replay the game except playing online with friends.

Bottom Line:

This game delivered what it was suppose to deliver. For those people who expected this to be a better SA then sadly, you would be disappointed but still, this game is an instant classic.
