Conker is very funny but some of the gameplay mechanics miss.

Conker: Live and Reloaded for the Xbox is the remake of Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64. Most people might think it will a crappy import from Rare, but it turns out its not. Rare did bring back the same campaign from BFD but super-changed it. The graphics for one thing looks beautiful and stretches the Xbox's limits. From the character models to the liquid (dung, blood, water, etc.) shows Rare put alot of work on it. The story is exactly like the original but with some few changes like the jokes and the weapons. In the original, you only had a frying pan but now you have a baseball bat with a nail on it. Also some jokes are new or changed, which is a good and bad thing. New jokes in the game are references to the original N64 game. The changes to the jokes in this game is censoring. A lot of it. The Nintendo 64 version is less censored than this game, which is a crying shame. You think that today you can away with anything more than the past. The story is that Conker is too drunk and blackouts and ends up in a whole new world. Now he wants to go back home with his girlfriend Berri and sleep, however he has to go through disgusting, violent, vulgar, and lewd obstacles, theres a reason why its not for children. It's certainly not for the squimish. In Act One, you have to go through an entire level full of poo. There is alot of movie/video game parodies going from The Godfather, Matrix, Saving Private Ryan, Dawn of the Dead, and etc and they're all funny.

This game is a platformer however the reason why its gameplay is so fresh and unique is each level's gameplay is very different from countdowns to racing to killing people with a gun etc. and its awesome once you get to it. Leading up to these awesome moments is another complaint. Side-missions or tasks don't give you a hint or a wink for you to realize what you're supposed to do. So a platforming beginner like myself might as well switch back to back reading the game guide. Earlier when I said about changes to the game, there is also changes to the gameplay itself. In one bit, you have to swim through a sewer and the same time (I recall; not sure though) being followed by a shark. It's better for beginners but hard-core Conker or platformer fans, it might be a let-down. The tilt is mainly easy although sometimes, when their are jumping puzzles or with vehicles, it seems a bit wacky. The sound and the voice acting is great. The dialogue is sounds like a regular A sharp, sarcastic, and ridiclous. For example, there's an opera-singing poo and the music sticks to the level's atmosphere making it not go off-topic to what you are doing. The sound from the guns and shooting walls could have been better all the other sounds like Conker walking on any floor and etc is nice

The multiplayer is a new installment to the game, there are 2 teams, the SHC (Squirrels) and the Tediz. You can choose either one and play any class you like. The levels are good going from sci-fi and World War 2 is fun... when played with a full match. If it's just a 8 player-match, it just doesn't feel right. The maps center on being filled with 16 players. Some classes are balanced, but classes like Sneaker and the 'Rocket Launcher' class isn't. Those using these two classes will get most of the kills, depending on the map and how many players are present. What's really disapointing about the multi-player is that it would have been great is that besides making this better, have at least the original mini-games (Heist, Lava Racing, etc.) online, hell maybe even offline.

Overall, for a remake to the single-player it is fantastic, despite the changes. But those wanting great multi-player content, you'd get half-and-half. The multi-player is fun, for sure, but the lack of the original mini-games doesn't help. At the time this game was released, the graphics are PERFECT and even today I still consider that it ranks along Xbox 360's graphics. Anyone considering to get this game, you'll get some fun with good ol' Conker.
