Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne has long remained my favorite game of all time. Not due to it's engrossing, yet now standard industry game play, or its then stunning graphics, but for the first truly mature video game story.
Max Payne deliver's arguably the best story within a video game, and is perhaps superior to many films within its genre. The depth and complexity behind all characters, the atmospheric setting within the word's capital of noir New York, and its overall tragic tone make for an experience like none other.
