It has been a long time since a game has managed to capture me quite the same way that Mass Effect has. The atmosphere, dialogue and polish the game has really immerse the player in the game's "world".
However, long loading times and the Unreal 3 Engine's problems bring this down from perfect. Hopefully the sequels address this.
