Mortal Kombat is uh... unchained.

Mortal Kombat Unchained is a port of the 2004 Mortal Kombat game that captures just about everything that version had and adds a few characters and stages. It has a large amount of modes like Konquest, Puzzle Kombat, Chess Kombat and a few others but the bread and butter of the game for me is just the refular Kombat mode.

It has a large cast of characters although some of the models look a bit funky. Each character has three diffrent fighting styles two of them being martial arts and a third style that is weapon based and you can switch between these mid combo thus making the move list quite huge with special attacks stacked on top of that. Each character also has two fatalaties and something called a hara kiri which consists of them killing themselves in a brutal way that is humorous and satisfying.

All in all this is not a bad port of the original game the problem being the game wasn't anything spectacular to begin with. If you are bored of some of the other fighting games on the PSP and can find this for a decent price go for it because it is a solid fighting game you can bring on the go.
