The original Dawn of War quickly became one of my favorite games of all time after playing it. I loved the first two expansions as well (I never really played the third). When I heard about DoW2 I was immediately pumped to play it. I managed to get into the beta earlier this month and I had lots of fun. But... When I bought the full game and saw what it had... I was kind of disappointed... The campaign is good, though you'll be doing the same thing most of the time. Murder everything. Win. Reap benefits and equipment. Wash Rinse Repeat several times. Never the less, it's fun and you'll have a good time with it. But, once I tried the multiplayer, I was extremely surprised to see only 4 new maps aside from the ones in the beta. This lowered the good mood I had going after playing the campaign quite a bit. It did so even more after I found out that they were giving out one exclusive map for people who downloaded it from their service... Which is kinda annoying, considering that their are only 7 maps, where as the orignal had like...12-15 maps. Though the multiplayer is, without a doubt, fun. 1 minor annoyance to me but still disheartening, you cannot import your own emblems to apply to the color schemes you create within the army painter, which basically makes the army painter... Kind of useless. Though it defiantly looks like they were going to allow custom emblems, it doesn't seem that worked out (Something with windows live I'm assuming). So all in all, it feels kinda... Not done, as though they didn't finish it or didn't put in everything. But despite my complaints, I still like this game, I'm going to play it and have fun. I'm sure that the expansions that will come down the line will add some new maps and the new races will make this game even better (And, I hope, allow custom emblems somehow.) So basically, get it if your a fan of Dawn of War, you'll most likely have fun. If you haven't played Dawn of War give it a try, it's still damn good.
